3 Materials Challenge: Day 18
I decided to doodle pumpkins today, based on some cute white ceramic pumpkins. (They’re part of a Christmas present from my parents this year.)
My doodle isn’t an accurate copy of the actual physical objects, since I didn’t include decorative cut-outs in the larger ones, but they gave me the idea. I could’ve taken more than a minute to sketch them and maybe gotten more faithful renderings, but that’s just not how I’m doing this project.
Materials used:
- Uni-ball Vision Needle micro (black)
- Crayola crayon (red violet)
- Black and silver outline marker
This is the first time I’m using outline markers (another Christmas gift). Metallic pens don’t usually photograph that well for me, though they can be pretty in person. The thin outline does seem to help define the edges a bit in these photos. Probably still better for “in person” viewing, though. Interesting to see that they seem to go over crayon pretty well. (Assuming they dry well, which I haven’t actually checked.)
