Just Getting It Done

3 Materials Challenge: Day 20

We’ve been told to expect a winter storm tomorrow on the Alabama Gulf Coast!

Wintery precipitation is rare down here, as you might imagine, and forecasting it is difficult.  So even though they’ve been mentioning the possibility for quite a few days, it has always been offered with a caveat and an insistence that we not get our hopes up too high for snow.  Now that we’re getting closer to the predicted “winter weather”, they’re more confident, but you still never know.  One way or the other, it’s going to be cold (for our area)!

To fit with the theme of frigid temperatures, I found an old photo of Luna snuggled on a blanket to use as my inspiration for today’s doodle sketch.  It’s not my best, even with such tepid competition as I’ve offered so far during this 3 Material Challenge, but I guess at this point I’m just doing it to say I didn’t give up.

Materials used:

  • Ohuhu marker (brown, 35)
  • Staedtler Karat watercolor pencil (blue, 3)
  • Sunny water-soluble pastel (white cloud)

Welcome!

I’m Michael (a female Michael, to remove any doubt).  I live on the Alabama Gulf Coast with my husband, Donald, and our crazy American Eskimo Dogs.

I love to fill my spare time with various crafts and other hobbies, and this blog is where I share photos, record my progress, and ramble endlessly.
