Inktober: Vacant

Inktober Day 30: "Vacant"

I stretched today’s prompt from “vacant” to “vacancy”.

Originally, I was intending to draw the dog walking up to a human home—making the move out of a small dog house and into a position as a fully-fledged house dog.  But then the second house turned out too small… So now he’s moving out of his old dump (inhabited by a shadowy blob that’s supposed to be a rat) and into a fancy schmancy dog house with a nice flower garden.

This is more Lexington Gray ink with a mix of watered-down gouache and watercolor—still using up whatever’s already on the mixing palette.

Only one more day to go!!

Welcome!

I’m Michael (a female Michael, to remove any doubt).  I live on the Alabama Gulf Coast with my husband, Donald, and our crazy American Eskimo Dogs.

I love to fill my spare time with various crafts and other hobbies, and this blog is where I share photos, record my progress, and ramble endlessly.
