Inktober: Sting

Inktober Day 11: "Sting"

Self-explanatory?  Two versions:  Dog in a bee costume and dog surrounded by flowers and bees…

This paper seems to be pretty low quality.  The brown ink, in particular, is prone to feathering and unpredictable rushes of ink when I doodle in this sketchbook.

Tinted Potted Plants

I did end up using light, pastel washes of watercolor to tint the potted plants doodle from last time.  I left everything very flat and simple, partly because I thought that style would suit this picture, but also because this is lightweight, cheapo paper that can’t take much water.  (It starts to disintegrate quickly.)

This was fun!

Welcome!

I’m Michael (a female Michael, to remove any doubt).  I live on the Alabama Gulf Coast with my husband, Donald, and our crazy American Eskimo Dogs.

I love to fill my spare time with various crafts and other hobbies, and this blog is where I share photos, record my progress, and ramble endlessly.
