Some of the first things that came to mind when I read this prompt were Fabergé eggs and elaborate costumes—like the one Queen Elizabeth I wears in one of her portraits.  (Looking it up, I learned that it’s the portrait painted by Marcus Gheeraerts the Younger.)  

Anyway, I decided to doodle a simplified (yes, this is simplified) version of a dog in a similar dress.
