Inktober: Blast & Button

Catching up after not posting yesterday…

Inktober Day 21: "Blast"

Still not enthused, but also still keeping up with the daily prompts, even though I don’t manage to post daily.

Today’s doodled dog might want to put the detonator box (whatever it’s called) a little further away from the tub and other bath products…

Inktober Day 22: "Button"

I’m not sure this one gets the intended message across…

(The “button” is one of those buttons that plays a recorded message when pressed.)

Huh… Just noticed that I wrote “siffle” instead of “sniffle” in the first panel.  Oh well!

Just Filling Up the Page

I’ve already posted parts of this page before, a few days back or so.  At that point, much of the page was still empty, so I filled it up with more dog doodles.  I don’t love how most of them turned out, but at least it’s something to post, other than the Inktober stuff…

I think I don’t respond well to these month-long challenges.  I always seem to actually decrease my total “creative time” during challenges!  Yes, I’m doing something every day, but I tend to rush through it, not really liking what I’m making, most days—and then I end up feeling like spending less time “creating” after fulfilling the daily obligation.  It just isn’t as much fun or as satisfying as usual.

I guess I’ll complete the Inktober challenge, since I’ve come this far, but maybe I need to reconsider any future challenges.  They don’t seem to be a good fit for me.

Welcome!

I’m Michael (a female Michael, to remove any doubt).  I live on the Alabama Gulf Coast with my husband, Donald, and our crazy American Eskimo Dogs.

I love to fill my spare time with various crafts and other hobbies, and this blog is where I share photos, record my progress, and ramble endlessly.
