Going Green

3 Materials Challenge: Day 6

I worked from another photo for today’s challenge.  It’s one I took a few days ago, at the same time that I photographed the shed.  It’s not much to look at, really—just a snapshot of an empty plastic Adirondack chair (that’s in need of cleaning), with a lanky wax myrtle tree and some droopy butterfly ginger in the background.  I thought I’d include it, for curiosity’s sake, so you can see which elements I chose to include, leave out, or reimagine.

The three materials I used today are a black Uni-ball Vision Needle with a micro nib, a Kalour color pencil (parakeet green, C078), and a Crayola crayon (inchworm).

Not the most faithful rendering, but on the other hand, you can tell it’s a chair.  I think I’d do better on a second take, but… ~shrug~

That’s all for today!

Welcome!

I’m Michael (a female Michael, to remove any doubt).  I live on the Alabama Gulf Coast with my husband, Donald, and our crazy American Eskimo Dogs.

I love to fill my spare time with various crafts and other hobbies, and this blog is where I share photos, record my progress, and ramble endlessly.
